SATURDAY will mark the third staging of the Stuart Allen Memorial Shield game at the Peterborough Arena.
Former Predators defenceman Allen died at the age of 19 in a car accident in 2005 and for the past two seasons his former team- mates have marked his passing by playing a match against fierce rivals Milton Keynes Rumble.

For all those involved, the game is a massive occasion and for Predators netminder Alan Storer it just gets bigger every year.

He said: "Stuart was a great guy and a real part of the team who is still sorely missed by all who knew him. We had the idea two years ago for the game and it has just snowballed into a major event for all of us and I would even go as far as to say that it is the one game we all want to play in.

"We all give our heart and soul which is just how Stuart played the game and I am sure Saturday's game will be no different."

With the series poised at 1-1 after Rumble's 5-2 win last season, a bumper turnout is expected for the game which is free to enter although charitable donations are collected. Face-off is at 5pm.
