IN the wake of Phil David's departure, the other half of Phantoms' coaching dream team has decided to quit the club.
Hot on the heels of the news that last season's head coach David is to be replaced by Colin Patterson, former Pirates star Stevie Johnson has decided to step down as assistant coach.

It is believed that Johnson's decision had nothing to do with the exit of David and he will now return to coaching juniors at the club - a role he has performed well in the past - helping to develop the talents of such players as GB international David Clarke.

General manager Paul Bignell has confirmed he will be back.

Following a successful debut season, Bignell will once again be a big part of the team for the coming campaign.
