MARCH are going down fighting from East Division Two North.
The local side won for just the second time this season by battling to a 1-0 success over mid-table Sudbury. Their only other three-point game arrived on November 24.

Adam Graham scored the only goal of the game before Sudbury managed to hit the post from two penalty flicks. It was a first clean sheet of the season for March.

City of Peterborough thirds still have a chance of promotion from this level following a 4-0 win over Cambridge City fourths. Shayne Andrews (2), Mike Yeoman and Shane Vincent scored the City goals.

City seconds and Wisbech are just one win away from securing promotion from the Premier B Division. Sam Markillie scored a magnificent seven goals as leaders Wisbech hammered St Neots 10-2 despite falling behind to an early penalty stroke.

Man-of-the-match Joe Bradley bagged two of City's goals in a 5-0 thumping of Chelmsford seconds. The teams are level at the top of the table with three matches remaining, but Wisbech have a 15-goal advantage on goal difference.

Market Deeping require just two points to clinch their elevation from Division Three North West after a 9-0 thrashing of Long Sutton seconds.

Paul Tancred claimed his inevitable hat-trick, while there was also a first goal of the season for sweeper Simon Wilmot. Wilmot converted a penalty stroke meaning all regular outfield players have scored in Deeping's League campaign.

Bourne fourths edged City of Peterborough sixths 5-4 in a key promotion battle in Division Five North West, while Rudyard Hammill bagged a hat-trick as Spalding fourths beat Rutland thirds 6-2.

City's veteran side scored twice in the final five minutes to preserve their remarkable record at Bretton Gate. Richard Herbage and Jon Dakin claimed the late goals that secured a 2-2 draw with Chelmsford - City haven't lost a home league match for two years.

City of Peterborough Ladies emerged from a spell in the doldrums to hammer local rivals St Ives 7-0 in East Division One North One with teenager Jess Jacobs firing in a hat-trick and Market Deeping Ladies reached the Cambs Division One League Cup Final by beating St Ives 5-1.

Janet Eagle-Smith and Kirsten Hackett each scored twice for Deeping who play St Ives seconds in the final at King's School Ely next Saturday.

They will be joined by Deeping seconds who play opposition from Cambs South in the Division Two League Cup Final.
