EAST Division Seven North West champions March fifths finished their season in farce.
March turned up to play Ely fourths in a league game and instead found Ely firsts waiting. Ely thought they were playing March firsts in a friendly!

March predictably went down 5-1 with David Haslegrave scoring their goal.

City of Peterborough Veterans beat Shefford and Sandy 5-1 in a friendly, so avenging a league defeat at the hands of the same opposition the week before.

Wayne Humphries and Mike Yeoman each scored twice with Peter Hings completing the scoring.

CITY of Peterborough's annual meeting takes place at Bretton Gate tomorrow (7.30pm).

THE Roger Brummitt Mixed Hockey Trophy returns under new management and with a new format on the weekend of April 19/20.

Four leagues will be held on Saturday with the qualifiers playing in two further leagues on Sunday. The winners of the Sunday leagues will then meet in the final.
