MARKET Deeping clinched the East Division Three North West title despite dropping points to City of Peterborough fourths in their penultimate match.
Deeping trailed 4-2 before forcing a 4-4 draw with goals from Paul Tancred, Chris Mann, Andy Brassington and Richard Woods. City were happy with their display as goals from Stuart Bond, Martin Hill, Matt Ferguson and Wayne Humphreys almost delivered a surprise win.

And that point proved enough to win the title as sole challengers Cambridge University thirds suffered a shock defeat. Deeping are worthy champions haveing scored 141 goals in 21 matches!

March Ladies also had cause for celebration as they claimed the East Division Two North title following a winner-takes-all clash with Old Buckenham. It was a breeze for March as goals from Shereen Hutton (2) and Lauren Oakman secured a 3-0 win.

City of Peterborough Ladies were pleased with their final placing of fifth in Division One North. They won their final game 4-1 against Braintree with Lou Wright and Jess Jacobs each scoring twice – sweeper Wright doubled her goals tally for the season.

City of Peterborough and March met three times in the men's East League with City running out winners 19-5 on aggregate. City thirds demolished relegated March firsts 9-2 to maintain hopes of promotion from Division Two North. Former National League players Shayne Andrews and Jim Tansley scored seven of the goals.

City sixths pipped March thirds 3-2 with Richard Herbage (City) and Matt Wallis (March) both scoring twice and City sevenths thumped March fourths 7-1 with Kyle Doyle bagging a hat-trick. It was the best weekend of the season for City who won eight of their nine fixtures and earned a creditable draw in the other.

March fifths seem certain to deliver some silverware in Division Seven North West. Their 6-1 win over St Ives fifths kept them top of the table, mainly thanks to a hat-trick from Simon Laws.

Wisbech should secure the Premier B Division title next weekend. A win against bottom club Redbridge & Ilford will secure top spot following a 9-4 win over Long Sutton.

Sam Markille grabbed a hat-trick, the first of which was the team's 100th of the season, as did Dan Martell. Markillie has 38 goals from 20 appearances.

Spalding ensured their survival in Division Two North with a hard-fought 3-2 win over Ipswich & East Suffolk.
