City came through two tough weekend games against Pelicans and West Herts with six points and were boosted further by Bourne's shock 3-2 win over title rivals Wisbech.

Bourne turned in a sensational display. They set out to nullify the threat of star Wisbech forward Bradley Apted with tight marking by Rob Chorlton, but also found the time and space to create golden opportunities of their own.

Kieran Paterson, James Grant and Andrew Fletcher scored the goals with James Jarvis claiming an assist on all three.

City pipped Pelicans 3-2 after enduring a nervy finale as the visitors fought back from 3-0 down before scrambling to a 1-0 win over West Herts with an Andrew Cave goal. Shane Vincent, Joe Lester and Craig Petrie netted against Pelicans.

City are now five points clear at the top and seem set for a promotion. Long Sutton also enjoyed a good weekend at Premier B level with a 4-2 win at Bury St Edmunds which featured the first goals for the club for Danny Sisson and Will Dean.

City's third team are hoping to make it a double celebration after their 4-0 win over old rivals Cambridge City thirds in Division Two North.

Mike Yeoman, Matt Sutterby, Jim Tansley and Sam Ure scored for City who are third in the table, two points off a promotion place.

Spalding and March were hammered at this level with the former crashing to a 7-2 defeat at the hands of Norwich City seconds and rock-bottom March losing 9-0 at Bedford seconds.

Paul Tancred claimed a hat-trick as runaway Division Three leaders Market Deeping beat Cambs Nomads 5-0, but the club's second team were disappointed to go down 3-0 at home to St Ives seconds.

But not as disappointed as Deeping thirds who were 3-0 in front, but lost 4-3 at St Neots thirds. Ben Dalgleish broke his ankle in the first team match.

David Hodson's hat-trick was the highlight of March fifths 6-3 win at St Neots fifths in Division Seven North West.
