CITY of Peterborough are confident they can collect their first National Conference East win of the season against Chelmsford at Bretton Gate tomorrow (1.30pm).
City have collected just one point from their opening two fixtures, but have played pretty well against two of the title favourites.
Chelmsford are not expected to challenge at the top having finished next to bottom in the old National League Divi
sion One last season.
Tomorrow's visitors also have one point from their opening two fixtures, but they have a suspect defence which City will hope to exploit.
City manager Jon Short said: "We played extremely well in our opening two games. One point doesn't sound much, but we have played two of the toughest teams in the division.
"Three points is the obvious target tomorrow and that would well and truly get our season under way."
City are almost at full strength tomorrow as Gareth Terrett, skipper Mark Featherstone, Scott Gilmour and Adam Drake all return to action.
Sean Gilmour is an injury doubt, while George Houghton is unavailable.
Wisbech host East Premier A Division rivals Blueharts in the opening round of the Hockey Association Cup on Sunday. The tie was postponed last week because of a waterlogged pitch.
