Race is on for a £30,000 golf prize

THE Turkish Riviera and a share of £30,000 beckon for the area's best golfers at the regional final of the PGA National Pro Am Championship tomorrow.
With the chance to win an all-expenses paid trip to Antalya for the grand final on offer, 60 pro am pairs from across Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, Lincolnshire and Essex will do battle at King's Lynn Golf Club.

And among those competing for one of 16 places in Europe's biggest pro-am event will be a number of pairs from this region, including past finalist Glyn Krause, a professional at Elton Furze.

Krause, who tied eighth in the 2006 Grand Final will be joined by amateur partner 24-year old Peterborough Milton greenkeeper Jamie Hibbert.

Also due to take part are Mark Templeman and Mark Goulding from Thorney Lakes, Gary Casey and Neil Farrington from Thorpe Wood, Old Nene's Adrian Perkins and Colin Harness with Peterborough Milton's Jasen Baker and Gary Welsh completing the local line-up.

This years Grand Final will be played over the Sultan Course at Antalya Golf Club from November 30 to December 4.
