Brenda wins first trophy for three years
PETERBOROUGH Milton player Brenda Shaw has to go back three whole years for her last victory in club play.
So last week provided a moment to savour for the former ladies captain when during a Ladies Salver three-club competition, Shaw shot a net 73 to claim the trophy.
She said: "It was one of the best rounds I have shot for quite some time and I think I the three-club format suited me. I was only using a six-iron, a driver and a putter, but I seemed to be hitting the driver off the fairway nicely and managed to stay out of the bunkers.
"It was probably a bit of a lucky round but I certainly enjoyed the moment as I have not won anything for a while."
