THERE was a double triumph for a Peterborough businessman at a prestigious awards ceremony.
Terry Lucking, who runs the Belvoir Lettings franchise, in Lincoln Road, was the winner of two awards in the High Achievers contest organised by the national Belvoir Lettings company.

He was named as the Franchisee of the Year and was also presen
ted with the Monthly Record Breaker Award for bringing in the largest monthly income of any Belvoir franchise.

The success comes shortly after Mr Lucking was named as Franchisee of the Year at the bfa (British Franchise Association) awards.

He said: "I am delighted to have been recognised for the way I have developed both my business and the lettings market in and around Peterborough.

"Investing in residential property on a buy-to-let basis continues to be an extremely attractive proposition in the Peterborough area. The local lettings market is booming and we expect this trend to continue as a result of changing demographics and a UK-wide shift in attitudes towards renting."

The judges highlighted Mr Lucking's commitment to his business and the local area, for constantly delivering high levels of customer service and his ambitious plans for future growth and staff development.

Belvoir's chief executive Mike Goddard said: "Terry is a shining example of how successful a Belvoir franchisee can become, both on a personal level and also in terms of developing their business and the rental market in their local area. He is committed to staff development and continues to invest in training.

"Terry has developed a fantastic reputation locally as the lettings expert for Peterborough and beyond. We applaud his success – his awards are well and truly deserved."

Formerly an executive in the food industry, Terry beat off stiff competition from 130 Belvoir franchisees across the UK, to pick up the accolades. He specialises in letting rural, farming and equestrian properties as well as managing lettings on the Ashton Estate.
