MATTHEW Maitland is proof that running a franchise business is the ideal way to combine hobbies and interest with work.
Setting up a Peterborough branch of Medics on the Move allows him to mix his passion for property and his previous career experience in client services with his dream of running his own businesses and being in control of his own destiny.

He said: "The franchise opportunity gives me excellent ongoing support and means that I am effectively a local company with national support.

Mr Maitland added: "Medics on the Move provides excellent training including the BTEC Advanced Certificate in Residential Letting through The Guild of Letting and Management. I also achieved the Frank Ciraolo Professional Development Award BTEC Professional Diploma in Residential Letting and Management from the Guild which I received earlier this month."

Now, after just a month running the franchise, which is dedicated to finding homes to buy or to rent for busy professionals who need to relocate, he already has an eye on expansion into Cambridge.

He said: "I offer an individually tailored search and acquisition service for people who are relocating. My business experience and knowledge of the local market mean I am in a position to know the availability of property, sometimes before it reaches the open market.

"Medics on the Move ensures clients can forget stressful trips around town, exhausting post-work and weekend visits around the estate agents and endless disappointing property letdowns."
