The judges of The Evening Telegraph's Women of Achievement Awards 2008 have spent hours poring over the entries, and it was a tough job to draw a shortlist up – but they have managed it.
Here we reveal some of the finalists who have been nominated for an award and will attend our glittering award ceremony at the Marriott Hotel in Peterborough this Friday, July 4.

There will be finalists from two more categories featured in Thursday's Evening Telegraph added here. One of them will also win the title of Peterborough's Woman of the Year.
