THE magnificent Burghley House, near Stamford, has once again featured in a blockbuster film.
Elizabeth the Golden Age is released on Friday, with the Elizabethan house being depicted as the home of Dr John Dee, the Queen's personal astrologer and advisor.

The house is no stranger to the limelight, featuring in the films Pride and Prejudice and The Da Vinci Code in recent years.

We were given a guided tour by assistant house manager Jo Tinker, who showed us where the scenes were filmed.

See The Guide in Friday's Evening Telegraph for a review of the film.
