A FORMER city pupil who left Peterborough for a glamorous life in Hollywood has tied the knot with an Australian model and actress.
At an intimate ceremony in Honolulu, Hawaii, ex-Eastholm School pupil Shaun Sewter married Gabrielle Fitzpatrick – a former model who has starred as Lindsey Littleton in the hit TV series Lost, as well as appearing in 24 and NYPD Blue.

After marrying, Shaun, who grew up in Dogsthorpe, and his wife have been featured in magazines and newspapers in Hollywood and her native Australia.

Shaun who is a commercial director and animator, has worked on adverts for Vitalite and Lego, as well as doing film work for various pop groups.

He moved to London after studying at Wisbech's Isle College and at university in Wales before moving out to Los Angeles permanently.

In 1992, The Evening Telegraph reported how the 44-year-old was part of a team behind the 10-minute long Manipulation film, which scooped an Oscar for Best Animated Short Film.

Shaun's mum, Sylvia Coverdale, of The Dell, Woodston, Peterborough, said: "To be honest, Shaun has had a lot of girlfriends over the years and I didn't normally get to meet them, as by the time my annual visit came around, they had split up.

"So I was quite surprised when he said he was getting married. Gabrielle is such a lovely person and has a wonderful personality.

"The wedding was absolutely beautiful with a few celebrities among the guests.

"I do miss Shaun a lot, but we keep in touch by e-mail and telephone calls.

Shaun lives right next to Universal Studios in Los Angeles and is seen by something of a celebrity back home by friends and family in Peterborough.

Mrs Coverdale added: "Seeing Shaun in magazines is amazing. He loves being in Hollywood, it is certainly his home now. We are all very proud of what he has achieved."
