Can you name these men from Newborough?
Present and past residents of Newborough are asked to put their thinking caps on to help us this week.

Mr J Hopkins from Netherton has sent in these two photographs and would like more information.

The top one bears the title "Newborough and Boro Fen Heroes of the Great War".

Mr Hopkins said: "I came across all across these photographs when my uncle, David Hopkins died. His uncle, also David Hopkins, died at Loos in France aged 21.

His name is on the Newborough memorial, where they both lived.

"I would dearly like to put names to these faces if any- one could help.

"The same men appear on both photos, and the man with the crutch has lost his right leg from the knee down.

"Where was the photo taken?"

If you can give us any more information about the pictures, or can name any of the men, please comment below, call or e-mail Hannah Gray using the contact details which appear at the top of the page.

If you have any information, please contact Hannah Gray.
