WHY not enjoy a walk in the fresh air and raise funds for people suffering from epilepsy at the same time?
Next week is Epilepsy Action Week, and on Sunday, the local branch will be holding a sponsored Walk For Epilepsy, which raises vital funds to help people with the most common of serious neurological conditions.

The Peterborough branch of the charity has raised £2,000 each year since 2003, and is this year combining with the Stamford branch with the hope of raising even more.

Members of the public are invited to join the walkers on Sunday at 9.45am for a 10am start. The walk route is from Asda, in the Rivergate Centre, Peterborough, to the Visitors’ Centre in Ferry Meadows, where there will be a vegetarian curry-style picnic before the return.

The distance overall is a well-paced six miles, punctuated by laughter and some song, with several refreshment breaks on the outward and inward journeys.
