Changing environment photo competition: last chance to enter
TIME is running out to enter Peterborough's Our Changing Environment photo competition.
Peterborough Environment City Trust (PECT) and Royal Haskoning have organised the competition as part of the Green Festival later this month.
Entries must be in by May 20 to be in with a chance of seeing your photos featured in the city-wide exhibition and win a range of exciting prizes including: vouchers to spend in a leading photography store, subscriptions to Practical Photography magazine, work experience with a professional photographer and eco-goodies.
The theme of the competition (our changing environment) is deliberately broad - the judges will be looking for imaginative interpretations as well as moving and well planned photography.
Categories of entry are:
Ages 11-16
Ages 17-25
Ages 26-beyond
Professional photographer
Business
The business category gives local businesses the chance to win an environmental management review courtesy of Business Envestors, £500 donated by Royal Haskoning to the green charity of your choice, as well as an opportunity to raise company profile.
Local environmental scientists and consulting engineers, Royal Haskoning is proud to be sponsoring the competition and supporting the Green Festival. Richard Braund of Royal Haskoning says: "The environment is topping business agendas around the world so it's great that we can now involve the local community through such an exciting competition."
The competition is being run as part of Peterborough's annual Green Festival - two weeks packed full of green activities and events launching on Saturday 24th May 2008 in Cathedral Square, Peterborough.
For full details and the rules of entry visit www.pect.net
