A peek into the lives of some of the great and the good in Peterborough, and the music, films and books that have captured their imaginations.
This week we speak to Wisbech musician and photographer Dan Donovan. Dan recently displayed his photography at Wisbech and Fenland Museum and Art Gallery in an exhibition called Demanding Landscapes: Fenland Meets the Algarve.

Dan, Derbyshire-born but an adopted Fenman, also plays in garage-blues duo King Kool, who regularly play in Peterborough, at venues such as The Met Lounge and Unity at Goodbarns Yard.

Tom Waits, he seems to create and do his own thing apparently unhindered by expectations.

Is there a TV programme you couldn't live without?

Not one.

My Boomerang Won't Come Back by Charlie Drake, from Chesterfield Woolworths I think.

Tell us about a recent discovery in music, film, etc...something you've seen or heard recently that you would recommend...

A band called The Good The Bad, who are Swedish I think.

collections - something you know is a bit naff but you can't help yourself.

Aristocats, the Disney film.

Fight Club – it's edgy and arty.

Favourite album...and why

Surfer Rosa, by The Pixies – it's edgy and arty.

Is there a song or individual piece of music you always come back to?

Lust for Life, by Iggy Pop.

Tell me about a live music experience that sticks in your memory...

The Pixies at Brixton Academy.

Doing a photoshoot in Leeds.
