Cask Marque was set up after a survey found that in 1,052 pubs, one in five real ale pints was of poor quality, with the temperature of the glass it's served in being one of the reasons why.
If you would like to visit a pub safe in the knowledge that it's been checked out by a Cask Marque inspector see Page 15, or www.caskmarque.co.uk.
Alternatively, to be sent details of your two nearest Cask Marque-approved outlets on your mobile phone, follow these steps:

  • 1. Text CASK followed by a full stop.

  • 2. Then enter the full postcode, or as much of it as you know, for example CASK. PE1 1JW

  • 3. Then send it to 83211.

  • 4. You will receive the details of the two nearest approved outlets

.
Texts costs 25p plus your standard operator rate.
