Book a place on the Key Youth Theatre's Summer School
Dates for the 2008 summer schools:

  • Week 1: Monday, July 28 to Saturday, August 2

  • Week 2: Monday 4 to Saturday, August 9

  • Week 3: Monday 11 to Saturday, August 16

The cost is £120 per child per week, although there are special reductions for families sending more than one child. Youngsters will be divided into groups according to their age.

A child is allowed to complete a maximum of two weeks.

The leaders for this year's event have recently been announced, and are a very well-respected bunch in the world of theatre, darling.

The Key's own Paul Crosby will be heading up the production team, and will be joined by Key Youth Theatre graduate and now actor and producer Mark Curtis.

Mark is the founder of Yaller Skunk Theatre Company which produces plays and shows at venues across the country with great success, including In My Name starring EastEnders' James Alexandrou, which opens at Trafalgar Studios this summer.

Also on board is TV and theatre actor John Carter. John is well known to Key audiences from his many appearances at the theatre and is a very experienced TV performer, with roles in Emmerdale, EastEnders and Byker Grove among his many credits.

Returning to the team this year is West End and Broadway star, (New York's rather than Peterborough's), Mark Hutchinson.

Mark has appeared in many West End musicals including Me and My Girl, West Side Story and Blood Brothers, which he also starred in on Broadway as Eddie, a performance which earned him a prestigious Drama Desk Award as best supporting actor in a musical.

For more information call the Key's box office on 01733 552439.

Application forms are available from The Key, or online at www.peterboroughkeytheatre.co.uk
