FROGS, newts and dragonflies could soon be heading for a pond near you – or at least in Paston.
A patch of land in Itter Park has had a Springwatch make-over.

A group of volunteers set to work at the site, off Fulbridge Road, helping to brighten up the park and install a pond.

Creating a water feature was the main task in hand and it is hoped it will attract a host of creatures.

The green space was one of 50 transformed as part of the BBC's Springwatch scheme, encouraging people to help improve their local environment.

Activities at the park were broadcast live on BBC Radio Cambridgeshire.

A number of organisations were involved in making the day possible, including the Friends of Itter Park and the British Trust for Conservation Volunteers.
