Cuckoo's Hollow is set to get some new litter pickers as a result of a joint community and church initiative.
Members of the Werrington-based Friends of Cuckoo's Hollow met with a Werrington Church group and introduced it to the task of litter picking around that area.

Werrington North Independent councillor John Fox said: "It shows how the churches in the area are really getting involved within the community, as our new recruit is a separate one to the church which currently helps us at Cuckoo's Hollow.

"We now have volunteers from all around Werrington, which shows the great community spirit in the area. Hopefully, this will inspire even more volunteers."
