A BLAZE of colourful work from talented young artists is among the new exhibition at the Norman Cross Art Gallery.
It starts with the introduction of the first art appreciation workshop for children from Folksworth Primary School at the gallery on November 26.
The gallery also welcomes an exceptional young talent, Flossie Lockwood, from Stamford, with her first showing at the gallery.
Flossie's skill with pen and ink and still life drawing is a must for any art lover to view.
At 17 years old she possesses the skill that would take many an accomplished artist years to perfect. Her image of the acclaimed actor Morgan Freeman is exceptional in her drawing skill, and on the basis of this work alone she has been commissioned by the gallery to do a further two images; one of US President-elect Barack Obama, and the other of Nelson Mandela.
Also showing at the gallery will be old friend Derek Massey, who will be teaching the art appreciation workshops.
There is also work from Jean Lagadac, Alistair Butt, Frank Johnston and Ann Pollard.
Gallery partner Derek Lopez said: "To colour and uplift the dark shadows of the current times, come along to the gallery and invest in a colourful look to the future."
The exhibition runs from Saturday, 22 November until the end of December. Call 01733 245189 or visit www.normancrossgallery.com.
