Organised by the East of England Agricultural Society, visitors to the show can expect to see thousands of animals of all shapes and sizes, from small livestock exhibits including mice and fancy rats, to displays of rare and endangered livestock breeds.

There will be many displays of traditional country life at the showground in Alwalton, near Peterborough, including country crafts, as well as large animal exhibits. Magnificent Shire horses, incorporated as part of the Wisbech Shire Horse Show, will be dressed in their traditional glory. There will also be the chance to see Pony Club showjumping competitions, donkey driving, harness goat and alpaca displays.

For those who prefer their animals with a bark, there will be plenty of dog displays and classes including "Scruffts" (the Kennel Club's search for the crossbreed of the year), the final of the Burgess Supa Dog Agility Stakes, and Terrier and Lurcher championships.

There will be an exhibition of poultry and waterfowl featuring all major breeds, and a poultry auction of more than 2,000 lots. Birds will also be represented by pigeons (display and competitive classes).

Discover the ideal opportunity to make an early start on some Christmas shopping with a wide variety of almost 200 trade stands to choose from, alongside a craft fair showcasing creative designs and a food hall offering the very best in regional food and drink. There will also be plenty of attractions to keep children amused, including a traditional Victorian funfair.
