THE award-winning contemporary dance act 2FaCeD DaNcE will dazzle an audience on 7 October with their gravity defying moves.
State of Matter is the latest dance work by the all male, break and street and dance company.

Featuring eight male dancers, with sparkling moves, acrobatics, break dance, robotics, street and contemporary dance, State of Matter is an hour of intense energy and vibe.

Set alongside an amazing soundtrack with stunning lighting, State of Matter will take you on a journey that looks at dance in its purist form.

The show is at the South Holland Centre, in Spalding, on Tuesday, 7 October. Tickets cost £9.50, available by calling 01775 764777.

Also at the centre this week is Ronnie Scott Award winner Liane Carroll, who will brings a soulful jazz evening to Spalding.

Having picked up just about every British Jazz Award going in the last few years, including the 2008 Parliamentary Jazz Award for musician of the year, Liane has been hailed by critics and fans alike as one of our very finest jazz singers.

She has worked with an extensive roster of international artists, such as Gerry Rafferty, Gerry Donahue, Long John Baldry, Sir Paul McCartney and Ian Shaw, as well as the fast soul outfit, London Elektricity.

Since 2003 she has released three critically acclaimed jazz albums, the most recent of which, Slow Down, was voted by The Times as one of their top five jazz albums of 2007.

Liane's live set is one of the most emotionally exciting to be found on the UK jazz circuit, and covers a broad repertoire from familiar jazz standards and Liane's self-penned original material through to the contemplative Tom Waits and Lauro Nyro.

This show is on Thursday from 8pm. Pre-show lasagne and green salad will be available in the bar until 7.15pm.

Tickets cost £12, visit www.southhollandcentre.co.uk to find out more.
