THE oldest and youngest candidates failed to turn up to hear the results.
West ward's Bob Burke (85) (Ind), Green Party candidate Nicola Rodgers (21), Glinton and Werrington ward's (UKIP) Amy O'Boyle (19) and (UKIP) Arthur Ashman (18) representing the Orton with Hampton ward were not at the town hall as chief executive of the city council and returning officer Gillian Beasley announced the results.
