Jonny Muir
EARLY voters arriving at a polling station in Beech Avenue, Millfield, Peterborough, were hopeful that the police presence and added security measures would prevent election fraud in Central ward.
Janshir Singh, of Taverners Road, said: "A lot of people are upset that our ward is not being taken seriously.

"I hope that the police presence makes sure that we are well represented."

Alan Wellman, of Cobden Avenue, added: "I heard that there may be police officers here. It might be intimidating to some, but it's necessary to get a fair result."

Voters arriving in Beech Avenue were greeted by Labour and Conservative banners attached to walls on opposite sides of the road.

Representatives from both parties stood outside the polling station entrance, with ex-Tory councillor Raja Akhtar, who is due to be tried on election fraud charges later this year, among their number.

I'm guessing the above comments were of a racial observation.Spot on as well no doubt hence the censorship.Just because these views are deleted doesn't make them go away. We know the truth

I put the first comment on which read, before the phantom self appointed censor struck, that I expected the three bent Asian councillors who are in Hotel del prison would be getting a postal vote. Nothing racial about that as they are convicted and they are in prison. Also they are, undisputably, Asian. Had I referred to them by the common derogatory term beginning with "P" then yes it would be racial.
