The fighter worked exceptionally hard at her studies and has also maintained a large circle of friends at school.

Daniella, of Kilverstone, in Werrington, said: "I feel really good that I won. I really like school. My favourite lesson is literacy. I will be putting my trophy on the desk at home so I can look at it every time I am working."

Even while in hospital, the dedicated learner attended the hospital school despite having up to three painful chest drains in her chest.

Daniella is also a keen dance student and also likes piano and swimming all of which she has shown great determination to learn.

Emily Hill, from New Road Primary School and Elliot Park, from Nene Valley Primary School, were highly commended in the judge's comments.
