LIAM Witter won the Arts Award with his impressive paintings and drawings.
According to teaching staff at Arthur Mellows Village College in Glinton, near Peterborough, the 17-year- old's work is individual, purposeful and full of vibrancy and vigour.

Liam said: "I was quite surprised by the award but it is really nice to be able to give something back to my school.

"All of the finalists deserved to win. It is great to see that people are actively doing things to help people and it is great for Peterborough."

The teenager is an outstanding pupil who has achieved an excellent exam pass in A-level fine art.

Robyn Jones from Deacon's School and Georgia Pike from Orton Longueville School were highly commended in the judges' comments.
