22 July 2008: The Evening Telegraph held its eighth annual Education Awards on 21st July.
These awards are a way of paying tribute to the amazing, dedicated people involved in education across a range of roles.
We wanted to hear about anyone, be it teachers, pupils, caretakers or cleaners, who go the extra mile and deserve some praise.
As well as a public thank-you, the winner in each category scooped a fantastic £500 prize, handed out at the glittering awards ceremony to be held at The Key Theatre on July 21 - read about the winners and see our photo gallery.
