Yaxley and Khalsa in a promotion decider

THERE'S a winner takes all local derby to round off the Cambs Division Two season tomorrow.
Khalsa tackle Yaxley at Woodlands (12.30pm) with the victors certain of claiming the third and final promotion slot. Yaxley are currently three points clear of their local rivals.
Promotion would seal a fantastic season for either side as neither of them have played at Cambs Division One level in the past.
Yaxley skipper Stuart Elderkin admits it would be real feather in his team's cap if they could avenge a duffing at the hands of Khalsa earlier in the season.
Elderkin said: "They beat us very easily at our place, but we are confident we can turn the tables on them tomorow. It's a simple equation: if we win we go up and if we lose we won't, although rain all over Cambridgeshire would also be a good result!
"We have our strongest possible side out so there will be no excuses if we fail, although it's difficult to predict how Khalsa will play.
"They can be brilliant and they can be bad and hopefully they will be bad tomorrow. They do have some very good players though so it's bound to be a tough game."
Yaxley welcome back the inspiring all-round presence of Dave Stratton tomorrow and are hopeful of persuading batsman Graham Walsh to forego his Bolton League duties in favour of a trip to Castor.
Khalsa will rely on the all-round excellence of Kamran Humuyan and the class and experience of former Peterborough Town opener Tas Ahmed tomorrow.
Town must win their penultimate Northants Premier Division match at Rushden tomorrow to maintain an interest in the destination of the title.
Last weekend's washout has made a tough task even harder as Town still have both the Northants Academy and Finedon to overtake.
Rushden are one of only two teams to beat Town this summer and the only team to have scored over 200 against a bowling attack which has again been spearheaded in spectacular fashion by Waqas Chugthai.
The professional paceman has 60 wickets so far, 13 more than the next highest total by a Premier Division player. Last season he finished top of the wicket-taking charts with 72.
Town are unlikely to receive any help in their title bid from other clubs. The Academy host relegation-threatened Burton Latimer tomorrow, while Finedon entertain lowly Wollaston.
