Stamford beat the weather . . . and Uppingham

STAMFORD beat Uppingham by 16 runs in the only Rutland League match to beat the weather on Sunday.
Bryan Bennett's 69 was the highlight of the Division Two win.

Peterborough Town seconds clinched the Division Six title despite seeing their scheduled fixture at Oakham seconds washed out.

The entire local programme in the Hunts and South Lincs Leagues was cancelled.

Oundle seconds clinched promotion from Northants Division 10 even though their match at United Social failed to start.

Scores: Stamford 143-7 (B. Bennett 69), Uppingham 127-8 (C. Birch 2-25, L. Dave 2-25).
