KHALSA claimed the third and final promotion spot in Cambs Division Two after defeating local rivals Yaxley in a winner-takes-all clash at Woodlands.
The city side inserted Yaxley on a damp track and bowled with commendable accuracy to restrict their opponents to 94-9 in 48 overs.
But it still proved a struggle before the celebrations could begin as Khalsa lost six wickets in passing their paltry target.
Yaxley skipper Stuart Elderkin said: "It was a damp wicket, but we just didn't turn up with the bat."
Khalsa will compete at Division One level for the first time in their history next season. Yaxley had to settle for a club-best fifth place finish.
Castor secured their survival in Division Two last weekend, but lost their final match against a Kimbolton side battling to avoid the drop.
Ashley Rodgers struck 66 of Castor's 143-7 and Andy Knowles took all five wickets Kimbolton lost in securing the victory.
Peterborough Town's bid to win the Northants Premier Division ended with a four-wicket defeat at Rushden.
David Clarke became the third Town batsman after Alan Burton and Asim Butt to pass 600 runs for the season during his innings of 73 and Cameron Wake returned to form with 38, but a total of 208-8 proved insufficient.
Rushden struggled early on, but Town struggled to find a third bowler to match the accuracy shown by openers Waqas Chugthai and Ajaz Akhtar.
The home side completed a second win of the summer over Town thanks in the end to an unbroken seventh wicket stand of 85 between two Hussains.
Thirteen year-old Peter Foster was the star of the show as Oundle clinched second place in Rutland Division One with an eight-wicket win over Market Overton.
Foster bagged 4-31 with his off-spin as Overton struggled to 118-9 in their 45 overs. Martin Van Der Merwe (53) and Cameron Wake (41no) saw Oundle home.
Wisbech beat Godmanchester by six wickets with bowler Ben Allsop taking advantage of a rare chance to open the batting by compiling an unbeaten 106. Teenager Ben Pope added 51 as Wisbech eased past the home side's 191-9.
The Lincs Premier Division matches involving Bourne and Market Deeping were both cancelled because of wet wickets. Bourne finished a creditable third in the table.
