This week we feature Paul Norton of Carter Jonas.
Q. With BP's profits soaring, do you think oil companies should reduce their prices at the pumps?

A. believe that it would be in everyone's interest to see prices at the pumps reduced. However, while a handful of companies have a monopoly on supply, the high demand will continue to drive prices upwards.

Q. Will the high costs of petrol and diesel be a deciding factor when you vote at the next election?

A. No. It is unlikely that any political party will reduce the tax on the fuels by a significant amount as the tax revenue that it generates could not be easily replaced by other taxes.

Q. Would you be in favour of on land exploration for oil at UK beach spots to cut our reliance on foreign imports?

A. I do believe that we should be less reliant on importing fuels from foreign countries and that we should increase our investment in alternative sources of energy.

Q. Do you think the MP is entitled to a quiet break in Suffolk before resuming his mantle of responsibility?

A. I think it is fair to say that everyone is entitled to an annual holiday and hard working MPs who work long hours (many of which are anti-social) deserve their two-week break. However, if circumstances and needs require they should be available to return to work during that period. These are, in my mind, a special body of men and women who have been employed and voted for by the public and as such, should be prepared to respond to the needs of the public should a crisis arise.
