Q. The credit crunch is the hot topic of the moment but are you seeing any signs of it having an impact in Peterborough?
The credit crunch has not affected the construction sector in Peterborough because we are a growing city.
Businesses are moving here and existing city firms are growing and relocating to bigger premises.
We're still getting lots of instructions from clients for commercial buildings.
Q. Music entrepreneur Simon Cowell – the inspiration behind TV shows Britain's Got Talent and the X-Factor – wants to be knighted. Is this a royal honour that should be conferred upon a successful businessman? Or, as an architect of programmes that offer celebrity to non-entities, should he be consigned to the Tower?
I think Simon Cowell should definitely be sent to the Tower! There are lots of people who are creating jobs for people in Britain who are far more deserving of getting an honour.
Q. The first signs of Peterborough's long-awaited regeneration appeared with the launch of the Eco Innovation Centre. Is this the start of great things to come for the city?
The Eco Innovation Centre is great news and is just the tip of the iceberg. We already have so many good environmental businesses and consultants based here and this can only help Peterborough become a leading environment city.
Q.He's not yet out of Division Two, but Posh boss Darren Ferguson says Peterborough United are already challenging for promotion to the Championship. Is he right to be so confident?
I would love Posh to beat MK Dons to the League Two title. If they keep playing the way they have this season they'll go up next year into the Championship.
