Pure Resourcing Solutions, David Culley.
Q: Has the rocketing rise in fuel prices made you re-think the way you travel to work each day?
A: I drive from Cambridge each day so have felt the effects of rocketing fuel prices. I've considered having the engine converted to run on vegetable oil, that way I can kill two birds with one stone and cook up breakfast for my fellow traffic jammers.
Q: Do you think David Davis's resignation from the Conservative Party was a courageous one or simply naive?
A: It's good to see someone stand by their principles. It's just a shame that the by-election he has prompted will cost us taxpayers an extra £80,000.
Q: Will the rising cost of living and/or fuel surcharges have any bearing on your family holiday in 2008?
A: I'll be going as far away as possible to have a break from such exorbitant living costs. The extra cash I spend on a holiday will be money saved on running my car and paying my utility bills for two weeks.
Q: Do you think that the idea of raising interest rates to lower inflation is sensible?
A: It sounds bad to raise interest rates as we will all feel the effects of this in our cost of living. However as I understand it, an interest rate rise will increase the value of money whilst an inflationary rise lowers the value of money, therefore it must be a good thing in the longer term as it means the fiver in my pocket will be worth more. Of course that's assuming that inflation lowers as a result…
