Emotional and heartwarming stories of human kindness dominated this year's Evening Telegraph Pride in Peterborough awards - paying tribute to Peterborough's local heroes, those people who make Peterborough a terrific place to live and work - on Thursday, 28 April.

Costa Coffee was the headline sponsor of the Pride in Peterborough 2011 awards.

From have-a-go-heroes to neighbourly acts, brave youngsters and adventurous senior citizens, the 2011 event brought tears to many eyes during the ceremony at the city's Marriott Hotel.

Television actress Tricia Penrose was the celebrity host and handed out awards to the winners with the category sponsors, including headline sponsor Costa Coffee and mingled with the shortlisted finalists and their families throughout the evening.
