A fitness loving mother and son will take over the reigns at a Whittlesey martial arts group.

Charmayne and Adam Price, of Coronation Avenue, Whittlesey, will be in charge of the town’s Tang Soo Do class following the departure of current chief instructor Nick Corney.

Charmayne (39) said: “The club was in danger of closing if no-one could replace Master Corney. So my son and I did our instructors grading so we could take over.

“It was 18 months long and very intensive.

“We do lessons on our own now and the leadership change is in transition.”

At the moment the club has 12 regular members. More are welcome to sign up. The group meets at the Manor Leisure Centre, in Station Road, on Monday evenings.

Classes start at 6.30pm and finish at 8pm. Prices are £4 per lesson. The first lesson is free with special family rates available.

Charmayne added: “Tang Soo Do is a great martial art which can help build your confidence.”

For further information call Charmayne on 07895 930309.
