Pride in Peterborough Awards 2011: Outstanding Act of Bravery

Winner: PC Grahame Robinson. Runners-up: Helen Paulucci, Deivadas Jaikas and Chris Hooper.

Outstanding Act of Bravery Award, sponsored by Coca-Cola Enterprises

Pc Robinson was nominated by Helen Love.

She said: “I nominated PC Robinson because he single handedly disarmed a suspected gunman who was making his way into Peterborough’s main shopping area.

Helen added: “I thought it was a very brave thing to do.”

Unfortunately PC Robinson was unable to attend the ceremony, as he is currently out of the country.

His colleague Petr Torak collected the award on his behalf.
