Litter pickers went out in town in force

ANOTHER mini mountain of litter was picked up by members of the Whittlesea Street Pride team.

A total of 32 full bags of rubbish, a bike frame, tyres and other discarded items were gathered from the Kings Dyke and Delph areas of the town last weekend.

Vice chairman Alan Hobbs said: “Thank you again to all who attended. It is your continued perseverance and attendance that makes Whittlesea Street Pride so successful.”

The next litter pick will take place at Ramsey Road on February 11.
