Dig in to plant trees

RESIDENTS are invited to take part in a mammoth tree-planting session across Peterborough today.

Cross Keys Homes is organising the sessions at 11am at Fengate Close, Kesteven Walk, Park Lane, Paston Ridings, Donaldson Drive and Lethbridge Road, and at 11.30am at Allexton Gardens, Hallaton Road, Waltham Close and Lilac Road.

The housing association will then provide transport to the Charteris Playcentre, in Normanton Road, Welland, Peterborough where refreshments will be served.

Michael Bruce, senior neighbourhood manager, said: “By the time spring comes the trees will be well rooted ready for a healthy blossom next year.”
