Bookings now being taken for half-term kids’ activities

FROM sport and dance to the world of crime scene investigation and espionage, a diverse range of workshops will be aiming to keep children entertained at a Peterborough leisure centre this half-term.

Bookings are now being taken for the Sports Xtra sessions due to be held at Werrington Leisure Centre, in Staniland Way, Werrington, between Monday, February 13, and Wednesday, February 15.

On both days, new sessions of Detective Xperience will be held, where children will have the chance to try finger printing, analyse ink and play chief inspector.

Also on the Monday, youngsters have an opportunity to learn some new dance moves ahead of a performance in front of parents as part of Dance Xperience.

The following day, Sport Xperience will include such activities as dodgeball, parachute games, rock-it ball and fencing.

On the Wednesday, budding James Bonds will be able to try out gadget making, code breaking and obstacle challenges at Spy Xperience.

It is open for children aged 5-11.

All the programmes run from 9.30am to 4pm.

Extended hours are available from 8.30am to 9.30am and 4pm to 5pm for an extra fee.

Children will need to bring a packed lunch, plenty of water, trainers and suitable clothing. Some activities may take place outdoors, if the weather permits, so warm clothrs should also be brought.
