"OH yes it is" is the cry from youngsters in Westwood as they gear up for the panto season.
The new Chums Club, held every Friday, at Stafford Hall, in Hampton Court, Westwood, has seen more than 15 youngsters put through their paces in preparation for a showcase performance at Christmas.

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is the production, and Westwood Residents Association committee member Maureen Butcher has been putting the budding thespians to work.

Treasurer Terry Metcalfe said the club had already been a great success, and members hoped more young people would join in.

He said: "It has proved really popular, and although Maureen has a big job getting them all ready for the pantomime, I am sure she can do it.

"The club is open for any youngsters in the area to come along, particularly if they are interested in singing and dancing.

"We are also hoping to get the Youth Bank involved again, as it helped the club last year, and it is always really supportive.

"We just wanted to give the kids something to do on a Friday night in the area."

The club runs from 5.30pm until 7pm.
