Neighbours from hell evicted from home

A ROWDY tenant has been evicted from his Fletton home following a string of anti-social behaviour offences.
Despite repeated warnings, Daniel Snart finally lost the roof over the heads of his family when his landlord stepped in to end his neighbours' misery.
The move by landlord Cross Keys Homes followed months of complaints about anti-social behaviour at the 30-year-old's home in Wootton Avenue, Fletton, Peterborough.
His neighbours had to put up with months of noise, nuisance, criminal behaviour and drug-related offences.
Today, other tenants living in the friendly estate are enjoying peace and quiet after Snart's departure.
In February, Cross Keys Homes used professional witnesses to gather evidence against him and his family, which helped the housing association to successfully gain possession without a hearing at Peterborough's County Court because Snart was still within his first year of tenancy.
Today, Peterborough's biggest landlord sent a harsh warning to other nuisance neighbours following the eviction.
Director of operations Claire Higgins said: "Cross Keys Homes and Cambridgeshire police have a zero-tolerance approach towards anti-social behaviour.
"This was a clear case of a serious breach of tenancy conditions, causing nuisance and distress to other residents. We try to work with our tenants to help them to understand the effect their behaviour has on the lives of their neighbours, but if they fail to respond to this, we do not hesitate to use all the legal powers we have available to us to deal with the problem.
"We acted to deal with the anti-social behaviour perpetrated by Mr Snart and his family as soon as we became aware of it, and are very pleased that our joint approach with the police has resulted in this outcome."
Anti-social behaviour manager, Gemma Wood added: "We worked with Snart and his family in order to assist them to modify their behaviour and sustain their tenancy with us.
"However, due to the seriousness and frequency of the anti-social behaviour perpetrated by the family, and the negative impact it was having on the local community, it was felt necessary to take robust action and gain possession of the property.
"Cross Keys Homes is committed to improving people's lives, and if this means taking firm and tough action against those who try to ruin them then so be it."
Snart is the 29th tenant to be evicted since October 2004.
These included a 22-year-old man from Tyesdale, Bretton who owed £2,500 in rent arrears, and a 38-year-old man who was evicted from his home in Myrtle Road in Dogsthorpe after he failed to pay £2,100 in rent.
Snart and his children have now been moved into temporary accomodation in the city.
