OUR own Olympic hero Louis Smith will kick off a firework spectacular in Newborough, near Peterborough.
Louis (19), from Eye, near Peterborough, the bronze medal winner in the men's pommel horse in this year's Olympics, will open the event at the Bull pub, in Gunton's Road, on Saturday, 8 November.

Gates will open at 6pm for a 7.30pm start. There will be various fairground rides, and refreshments will be available.

Visitors are asked not to take along any fireworks or sparklers.

The aim is to raise cash for groups and charities in and around Newborough. In seven years the event has raised more than £1,500 for good causes.
