PUPILS at Arthur Mellows Village College in Glinton have excelled again, achieving outstanding GCSE results.
Some 83 per cent of pupils scooped five or more A* to C grades.

Most of these gained eight or nine passes.

Headteacher Mike Sandeman said: "These results are among the best ever achieved at the college and reflect the high level of hard work of our pupils and dedication of our teachers.

"The college continues with its tradition of academic excellence for which it has become well known over the years.

"Today's GCSE results mean that once again a large number of our pupils will be progressing into our sixth form to study a large range of AS and A2 courses in the next academic year."

Almost 40 high-flyers bagged more than five or more A* or A grades, including Lauren Bennett and Eleanor Morson.
