ARE you missing a grey male cockatiel? If so, a Peakirk kennel may have found what it is you are looking for.
The talkative bird was found, and eventually caught, by Follybridge Kennel co-owner Mel Boustead last week and is trying to find his owner.

Mel spotted the bird talking to his own cockatiels in the aviaries at the Thorney Road kennels on Tuesday, and after two days of trying to catch the bird, he finally caught him on Thursday.

All attempts since then to find the birds owner have been fruitless and he is now making his plea through The ET. Mel believes the bird could come from anywhere in the north of the city.

He said: “After a few days of talking to our birds I managed to catch it. At the moment we are keeping him in a separate cage to our other 60 birds.”

If Mel can’t find the owner of the bird then all is not lost. Mel has said he will take good care of the bird and adopt him with the rest of his cockatiels.

nIf you think the cockatiel is yours, call Mel on 01733 253020.
