MOTORISTS have been warned to expect delays from next week when the next phase of a major bypass scheme gets under way on the outskirts of Peterborough.
The junction of Newborough Road and the A47 will be closed for up to eight weeks from Monday as part of the A1073 Spalding to Eye road improvement scheme.

Throughout the closure, diversions will be in place via the A47/A15 Paston Parkway, Werrington Bridge Road, the B1443 Thorney Road and Guntons Road leading to Newborough Road.

Scheduled bus services which use the affected route are set to continue.
