Peterborough mum Parveen Ashraf, pictured, has launched her own catering company specialising in authentic home-cooked Indian food.
Amaani Creations Ltd is an amalgamation of her company Amaani-art, which specialises in bespoke artwork, and Amaani Cuisine, which specialises in bespoke party and events organisation.
Parveen, along with her friend Jeannie Sharpe, has taken the
brave decision to turn Parveen's hobby into a business. Jeanie and Parveen met through their children, and discovered they both had a real passion for cooking.
Amaani Cuisine has an east-meets-west concept, offering the clients the best in authentic Indian dishes coupled with mouth-watering delicious home-made English cakes and desserts.

Intiative to help stimulate businesses comes to Peterborough, 21 October 2008.----------------------
Parveen said: "I am a creative person, and offer my clients a complete package, from designing the theme of a party, hand-painting invitations and menus, designing table centre-pieces, cooking the food to the client's requirements, waitress service and, lastly, the job most people hate… cleaning up after the event."
after an initial meeting to discuss your needs, Parveen can come out to your workplace to serve a hot or cold buffet, or organise a five-course meal served in your own home.
Amaani Cuisine has had the support of Peterborough- based GKL to showcase what it can offer.
Group business development manager Andy Kirby said: "Parveen and her team at Amaani Cuisine were able to develop a range of buffet options that were appropriate for the occasion. As a local business, GKL is committed to supporting other local ventures and were impressed by Parveen's catering innovation, suggestions and creativity prior to the main event.
"On the day (estimated at 250 attendees) Parveen's team delivered an incredibly high standard of catering product and service, and, as such we would not hesitate in engaging her services again. indeed, at the time of writing, we are working with Parveen to develop a range of menu options that we can utilise when we host other important events/clients."
Parveen said that she knew where she wanted to get to with her business idea, but had many questions going through her head that were not being answered.
She said: "As a new business, it is difficult to have the confidence to deal with new clients and understand the dynamics of the corporate world. There is a lot to learn and it can seem a bit daunting at times.
"Pauline has been so supportive in helping me. She is my first port of call when I need advice. I am so pleased that Business Link gave me the opportunity to meet Pauline of Bizfizz, I would recommend her services highly."
