The urban regeneration company, whose tagline is 'You're Part of Our Plan', is compiling a dedicated programme of communications that will help local people and members of the city, national and international business and property communities underst
and and guide Peterborough's growth.
New technologies, social networking sites, blogs, newsletters, and more engagement events are at the heart of this programme, which they are currently putting into place.
Chief executive of Opportunity Peterborough, Steve Compton, said: "While laying down the strategy to guide the city's growth we have engaged with local people and businesses through ongoing consultation events, media activity, mailing campaigns and talks to community groups.

"Now we are moving into the delivery phase of some of these projects we recognise the importance of developing the ways in which we talk to local people and gain their feedback on how we are progressing."
The company's new website, www.opportunitypeterborough .co.uk, has already proved a popular resource for launching strategic documents and is visited by more than 114 people per day.
During the consultations for the City Centre Area Action Plan and South Bank in February and March the website had in excess of 600 people download information from the dedicated consultation areas.
Now, the company is seeking to develop the site further to make it more accessible and easier to navigate.
"We are dedicated to ensuring that people are kept up-to-date with activity that is taking place within the city with simple and easy to access information and have placed communications at the heart of what we are delivering, so that people can seize the opportunities and get excited about the future of their city."
